To say that I have been excited about this blog post would be an understatement. I knew I wanted to start my first senior model campaign out with a bang. Something a little different than the ordinary. We decided to take the 2012 Photography by Meg Senior Models out of city limits! We got our country on and received permission to use a beautiful farm and wheat field as our backdrop.
We spent the first half of our day with makeup artists and wardrobe stylists planning out each girl’s look. Then, with the girls and my team in tow, we headed out on an adventure! I can’t believe what an amazing time we had on this shoot. Lots of giggles, dance parties in the field, and hilarious out-takes. We wrapped up the day over a great meal (we were starving!) and more giggles, laughs, and memories. Thank you everyone who was a part of this shoot. What an amazing team of people we had helping with this project. I couldn’t have done it without you!

I have to share this adoption video of one of my long time BFF’s Amy and her husband Zach getting their precious boys from Africa. I have such a huge heart for adoption and hope that this brings inspiration and joy! You can read about the story of our friendship and see their first family photoshoot here: Once in a Lifetime. Looking forward to capturing their family through my lens again next month!

I have a slight… more like a massive addiction to sugar. So when Tiffany and Kevin told me they really didn’t drink coffee (my other addiction), I happily suggested we start out our session at the local cupcake shop. Tiffany moved here not long ago from the Seattle area and I wanted to show her that even though we lack the big city culture and vibe, we at least have one cupcake shop
. I loved strolling our downtown area with them and hearing their story; how they both went to WSU (like me), how they connected in Seattle, and have decided to start their lives here in the Tri-cities. Clients always become more than clients, they become friends. I am so honored to capture their story, their love, and their connection to produce images that they will have and remember forever. Engagements are so special to me. I love to capture life stories and these sessions are usually the first chapter in a lifetime of stories. I can’t wait to see where life takes them!

A mother’s treasure is her daughter.

What a special session this was for me. Sarah and her husband Ryan radiate love and beauty. When I was asked to do a newborn session for their beautiful new daughter Evangeline, I knew it was going to be magical. The session was full of peace, light, and most of all love. The love that this couple has for their new little girl oozed out of them the entire session. You could see how captivated they were with her every look she gave and coo she sounded. I was so honored to be able to capture this incredible time in their lives.
