I don’t get people asking me tons of different questions but I do hear a ton of the same ones. I thought I would share a quick FAQ post to bring some clarity.
1. Do you do weddings?
I have had this questions posed to me many times over the last few months.
Not as of yet. The immense pressure to photograph someone’s wedding day scares me to death. There are no re-do’s. In addition to that I am really only a natural light photographer and am not quit comfortable enough to shoot portraits indoors nor do I have the setup for that. I guess if someone was able to convince me the pressure was off, they were having a mostly outdoor wedding, and they paid me enough, I would do it. I would still be scared though…haha Maybe one day I will venture into this area, but for now I absolutely love shooting engagement and bridal portraits as an alternative!
2. What kind of camera do you have?
I get this one a lot. I made the leap this last fall from a Nikon D80 to a Nikon D700. My D700 is my 3rd baby – I adore her. I shoot mainly with a 50mm lens. I just made the switch from the 1.8 to the 1.4. So excited to see the difference in my upcoming shoots!
3. Do you wear a bump it?
Okay okay I know. Silly question, right? I get asked this at least every week. I like some umph to my pony tail since that’s just about all this mother of two babies can manage on a daily basis. I like a little backcomb, but a bump-it? Please… this umph is the workings of some awesome hairspray and a little elbow grease.
Since a blogpost is always better with a picture here is my 2 year old on Christmas Eve. So sweet!
